Bizen Chawan by Harada Shuroku
Followers of our gallery know what a big fan we are of Bizen’s Harada Shuroku(b.1941)–here’s a link to a 2000 article to find out why:https://www.japantimes.co.jp/culture/2000/08/12/arts/bringing-out-the-flavor-of-the-clay/#.W0r6nNUza70 We’re lucky to have received two works that date back about twenty years, first shown is a classic Harada chawan in terms of the oval-bold form, incised lines lip, carving, firing tones and his applied kodai-foot(tsuke-kodai). In perfect condition with a signed box, 10cm.tallx15cm.x12cm, signed on base. More details on the vase and Rosanjin Bizen tokkuri on request. Please note Robert’s old email @e-yakimono.net is no longer working. New one is Robert@(then add the name of this web gallery URL).
