Gold-Irabo Glazed Sculpture Vase by Kiyomizu Rokube VII
This Kiyomizu Rokube VII’s (1922-2006) work has an interesting story. It came in the box on the right–faded–and t fit perfectly yet the description was off, it said black glazed. We figured even though the piece fit perfectly into the box it was not the original box for the work itself. So, we concluded the box was signed by RokubeVI and then we took the work to Rokube VIII who made a new box and signed it. It’s a classic Rokube VII work in form and glazing. In perfect condition, box as noted–and if wanted the older box can also be included, 24.5cm.tallx12.5-13cm. stamped on base. This work dates to the last years using the name Rokubei before changing to Kyubei and handing the time honored name to his son.
