Seven Cups by Takiguchi Kazuo
Here are seven cups by Takiguchi Kazuo; Takiguchi (b.1953) is one of the most interesting and important Kyoto ceramic artists of the past 20 years. His original forms and deftly painted smaller works have earned him a slew of awards and a large following here in Japan as well as around the world. For summer here are 7 joyous cups, each is very light in weight (Takiguchi hand coils all) and each has his deftly painted scenes of luck-happiness motifs and traditional patterns. Sizes range from 6.5 to to 8.3cm.tall, they can be used for anything that suits one's fancy; all in perfect condition with signed boxes, prices on base.
