Zero by Hayashi Kaku
Hayashi Kaku(b.1953) is a major ceramic artist here in Japan whose work is little known in the west, although her work was part of a traveling exhibition 'Soaring Voices--Contemporary Japanese Women Ceramic Artists'--that toured Japan and the US. We've shown some of her classic Zero works in the past and this one dates to 2013 and will be the last one she ever makes. It's dark-mystical and 'deep'---standing at 52cm.tallx53x31 and weighs 23kg. Comes with a signed wooden plaque. Pictured with a very early Bizen guinomi by Kakurezaki, On Reserve.
