Three Celadon Guinomi-Sake Cups by Uraguchi Masayuki-Right On Reserve
Uraguchi Masayuki (b.1964) is one of Japan's top celadon ceramic artists, period. Having studied under the late Living National Treasure Miura Koheiji (1933-2006), Uraguchi's works not only exhibit a sharp sense of form, his many experiments in glazes have produced new and unique celadon glazes that are authentically his. We may add he's the only celadon apprentice that Miura has had and acknowledged. Miruji, Kokusho, Kokuyosai are names for his original Seiji/celadon and are propelling the art of celadon into new heights. Here are three of his celadon works for enjoying sake, two are darker kokusho and the other a more traditional crackled celadon; All in perfect condition with a signed boxes, basic guinomi sizes, signed on base.
