Kondo Hiroshi (1936-2012) was a much celebrated Kyoto ceramic artist, second son of Living National Treasure Kondo Yuzo (1902-1985) and father to Takahiro. Here is a classic Kondo jar with gold-glaze and a strong pine tree drawn in sometsuke-colbalt blue, a Kondo trademark. In perfect condition with a signed box, 24.3cm.tallx20.5cm., signed on base.
