Seihakuji-Bluish-White Porcelain Platter-Bowl by Suzuki Osamu
One of Sodeisha’s founders was Suzuki Osamu(1926-2001), one of the most influential and important Japanese ceramic artists of the 20th century; his works are in major private and public collections worldwide. This Suzuki platter is incised with an arabesque-grass design and is similar to the one shown at his National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto exhibition in 2013 that then traveled to three other museums in Japan. This piece dates to 1975, is 8.1cm.tallx36.7cm. wide, stamped on base, signed box.
