Two Chawan by Inayoshi Osamu
Inayoshi Osamu (b.1976) hails from Toyohashi, which is very near the ancient potting town of Seto. He studied in Seto going on to build his own kiln in 2007; he was very much influenced by Atsumi-yaki of the Heian and Kamakura periods, as well as by the eccentric Tea master-potter Kamiguchi Guro(1892-1970). Inayoshi passionately studies the works of masters past and creates his own vibe on them, as well as his original style—seen on a chawan here. Here is his take on Oribe and his original lavender-toned, iron-underglaze gold nugget-flecked chawan; each in perfect condition with signed boxes, signed on base, basic chawan sizes.
