Bizen Guinomi by Tsuji Seimei
One of Japan's greatest potters of all time is Tsuji Seimei(1927-). His anagama-fired works are exceptional and his forms contain pure Japanese aesthetics. He's a living legend, after Rosanjin the only potter to have a whole issue of TAIYO devoted solely to him; many potters here say "I want my pots to have spirit like Tsuji Seimei's work." More about Tsuji on e-yakimono.net. Here is a very rare Bizen guinomi by Tsuji that has a refined form, great solid feel in the hands, and a rich firing. In perfect condition with a signed box, 5.5cm.tall and 6.7cm.across at lip, signed on side. Stay tuned for a five person 'Mini-Mino' exhibition that will go online tomorrow, June 27th.
