Tea Jar
Mid-Edo Period Shodai Chatsubo Tea Jar
By far one of the most interesting and rare Shodai chatsubo to be seen anywhere, I say that with ease. Dating to the mid-Edo period, circa 1780, the glazing is luscious in beige and olive tones that create dripping and flowing landscapes over the stoneware body. A museum piece in perfect condition, 34.5cm.tall and 31cm.wide. More about Shodai on e-yakimono.net
