Iga Vase by Furutani Michio
Here is a classical Ko(old)-Iga form by the late great Furutani Michio. The shape is triangular and it was pulled red-hot out of the kiln and allowed to rapidly cool getting these wonderful contrasts of green, from light pale to deep olives/gray-blues; this method also allows the red-hot melting ash to flow around the side stopping at rivulets. It comes with a signed box, 25.5cm.tall, signed on base and in perfect condition.
