Iga Guinomi by Tsuji Seimei
One of Japan's greatest potters of all time is Tsuji Seimei(1927-). His anagama-fired works are exceptional and his forms contain pure Japanese aesthetics. More about Tsuji can be read on www.e-yakimono.net; do a search for 'Tsuji.' This is the only Iga guinomi I have ever seen from Tsuji. It has intense 'landscapes' in riveting colors as well as Iga's famed scorch markings. To get such a firing takes a master of which there are very few in the world today. In perfect condition with a signed box, signed tsu on side, 5.2cm.tall and 6.5cm.wide. From Yellin's Shuki Collection.
