Mashiko Yunomi Pair by Hamada Shoji
Hamada Shoji, most likely the most famous Japanese potter the world has ever known. Here is a classic Mashiko yunomi set by Hamada. We find his warm nuka glaze in smooth and crawling hemispheres, his signature sugar cane iron underglaze design. One can sense the swiftness and accuracy of Hamada's brush and can sense the wind blowing the stalks. A very fine set in perfect condition with a signed box by Hamada, large yunomi is 8.5cm.tall and the other is 8cm.tall, each about 8.5cm.wide at mouth.
