Tamba Saideiki Bowl by Ichino Masahiko
Ichino Masahiko is creating quite a stir in the contemporary ceramic art scene for his modern Tamba wares, which call to mind the styles of Kamoda Shoji, Suzuki Goro, and the Sodeisha. This pattern is classic Ichino, with square patterns piled atop one another, while accenting several squares with a red color derived from salt water. This bowl is the smallest of the three bowls we received from Ichino. It is 20.5cm tall, 29cm wide, 26.5cm long, comes with a signed box and is in perfect condition. We recently had the opportunity to interview Ichino exclusively (and he gave us a lot of his time; thank you Ichino-sensei), and you can read about him here at http://www.e-yakimono.net/html/ichino-masahiko-2003.html
