Hagi Guinomi by Miwa Kyusetsu XI
A Hagi guinomi by Living National Treasure Miwa Kyusetsu XI (1910- ). He has passed his title on to his son in 2003, but continues to make Hagi at his ripe old age under the title of Jyusetsu. It is he, and his older brother Miwa Kyusetsu X, who brought much attention to Hagi for their extraordinary works. This guinomi is shaped in a shoe-form, with yohen kiln effects that can be seen upon the white Hagi glaze. An extremely rare aspect of this guinomi is the fact that Kyusetsu has prodded the bottom of the guinomi with his thumb, thereby making an indentation on his typically flat kodai, along with making a bump in the "mikomi" bottom of his well. Comes with a signed box and is in perfect condition, 4.6cm tall, 7.5cm wide.
