Fujioka Shuhei not only defends but defines the boundaries of Iga ware, which has unfortunately been overlooked for its more famous Shigaraki neighbour as of late. This mentori-cut tsubo (jar) is an exciting piece of sculpted pottery, with sharp crevasses and waterfalls of glaze flowing down from cliffs atop the pot. Bountiful displays of landscapes, both hi-iro, koge and bi-idoro. 17.7cm tall, 16.7cm wide, comes with a signed box and in perfect condition.
