higaraki Henko-Jar by Furutani Michio

An original masterpiece form by the late great Furutani Michio. This work was exhibited at a 1990 Tokyo exhibition and a photo shows the work in the catalog. The work shows the intensity of an anagama firing of which Furutani was the king. It has crusty patches, brown rivulets and other very captivating 'landscapes,' very textural. In perfect condition with a signed box, 22.0cm.tall, 23.0cm.across, and 6.0cm.deep.
