Large Vase "Soko" by Miyashita Zenji
A major work from Miyashita Zenji that dates back about 30 years. This piece uses a glaze that Miyashita perfected after college---he most likely worked on it with his father Zenju as well. This work was entered in the 22nd Kyoto Kogei Bijutsu Exhibition where it won the Award of Excellence--this is written on the back of the signed box lid. A web search will show many listings for this internationally renowned artist. In perfect condition with a signed box, 39.0cm.tall and 28.0cm.across.
