Tsubo-Jar / Bizen / Bizen / Isezaki Jun
Dating to the late 1970s-early 80s here is a shibui Bizen tsubo by Living National Treasure Isezaki Jun. A few things attracted us to this one; the pleasing form, the colors on the front, the warm clay tones and especially the unusual-sharp lip. In perfect condition with a signed box--the lid though is slightly warped--30.1cm.tallx28.4, signed on base.
It offers over 450 English pages and 4300+ photos on Japan's pottery scene and the styles and traditions of Japanese pottery.
