Two Shigaraki Legends--Tsuji Seimei and Furutani Michio
Tsuji Seimei (1927-2008) and Furutani Michio (1946-2000) were two of the greatest Shigraki potters in history, period. Here are two fine examples of their shuki-sake vessels, a slightly faceted bold flask-tokkuri by Tsuji and a refined guinomi-sake cup by Furutani. Both in perfect condition with signed boxes, the Tsuji dates back to the 1970s and has been used, the Furutani is from his later years and has never been used. The Tsuji is 13cm.tallx10.5, stamped on base. The Furutani is basic guinomi size, signed on base and is On Reserve.
