Celadon Drinking Vessels by Watanabe Akihiko
Watanabe Akihiko(b.1959) is 'celadon master who fires an noborigama in the Izu peninsula. Watanabe was born and raised in Hirashimizu, Yamagata prefecture home of the pottery of the same name. Yet, Watanabe took it upon himself to learn the hardest of styles, celadon, plus he fires in a wood-fired kiln, one of very few in Japan to fire this way. Here are various drinking vessels for sake, shochu or tea; each in perfect condition with signed boxes.
