Gosu-Cobalt Blue Bamboo Motif Jar-Vase by Ikeda Shogo
Ikeda Shogo(b.1978) possesses a touch with his brush that creates designs that are rich, deep, whimsical and always a delight to gaze upon. He's one hot and popular potter in Japan right now. Based on the island of Tanegashima he fires Oribe, Kohiki, and Nanban. Here is a gosu jar with a bamboo motif of great 'depth' and within the grove one can find a boatman and a cow; the inside is cream glazed, plain. It's 18cm.tallx17, signed on base, perfect condition with a signed box. We also have a chawan, three guinomi(all reserved) and tokkuri with Mt.Fuji motifs, one kohiki tokkuri with a floral design(reserved), and two Oribe plates(reserved), previews on request.
