Published in 1997 this bilingual two-volume set looks at traditional forms-potters in Volume 1 and more radical works in Volume 2. Those in volume 1 are Shimada Koichi, Abe Anjin, Shima Takemi, Tanaka Sajiro, Furutani Michio, Tsujimura Shiro, Harada Shuroku, Okazaki Takao, Suzuki Goro, and Raku Kichizaemon. Volume 2 shows Miwa Ryosaku, Kato Kiyoyuki, Koie Ryoji, Fukami Sueharu, Hoshino Satoru, Ohira Kazumasa, Nakamura Kohei, Akiyama Yo, Mori Tadashi, Miwa Kazuhiko and Saito Toshiju. There are also various essays by leadind scholars, bios and many photos. The outer box is slightly discolored, the books themselves are in excellent condition, 335 and 305 pages, don't mind the editorial slip on the cover, a very fine set for any serious collector! Retail price listed at 47,000 yen.
