Natural Ash-Glaze Jar by Yoshisuji Keiji

Based on 12-13th centuries stoneware jars--Tokoname, etc...--this natural-ash glazed jar(shizen-yu) by Yoshisuji Keiji is a timeless, engaging piece; it also has a haunting aura as if it flew in from outer space or was buried in the ocean for centuies. Fired multiple times it has a varied facade of gritty ash and glassy greens and blues. In perfect condition with a signed box, 25cm.tallx17.5, signed on base. Yoshisuji is an anagama master based in Morimachi, Shizuoka.
