Tokkuri-Sake Flask / Bizen / Bizen / Mori Togaku
1976 Bizen Tokkuri by Mori Togaku
In 1976 when Mori Togaku was 39 years-old he built an eight-meter anagama in the hills of Aioi, Hyogo prefecture; this tokkuri was fired in that kiln and has a sign on the side that Mori used only that one year. The stoic form is called imo or a potato form and the firing is superbly shibui; dark reds and browns with a smattering of goma on the neck. In perfect condition with a signed box, 15cm.tall, signed on side.
