Large Oribe Platter by Kato Keiya
Kato Keiya (b.1935) is a veteran Seto potter who studied with the late Suzuki Seisei. Kato's work has been shown nationwide throughout his long career and has shown many times at Nitten. His work was even purchased by the Imperial Family. Here is a large Oribe platter that Kato incised with a floral design, a lovely work that looks good either on a stand or on a table; in perfect condition with a signed box, 3.8cm.tallx49.5, signed on base.
