Two Celadon Guinomi-Sake Cups by Minegishi Seiko
Minegishi Seiko(b.1952) is a master celadon artist and one of only a handful here in Japan. He is self-taught and thus has experimented for decades with glazes to get the jewel-like celadon crackled glaze just right, of which he has succeeded in flying colors. Here are two very hard to get guinomi--his output is very small combined with a high loss rate--that dazzle the senses with their brilliance, especially when sake magnifies the glaze. Each in perfect condition, the left being 5.1cm.tallx6.2(On Reserve) and the right at 4.5cm.tallx7.5cm., each stamped on base, in perfect condition with a signed box. Left On Reserve
