Tokkuri-Sake Flask-Vase / Koisago / Koisago / Unknown
Here is a not-oft seen Folk-Mingei style of pottery called Koisago; it was made in the late Edo period --1850s or so--the kiln was founded in 1830--in Tochigi prefecture (also home of Mashiko) and is quite tall and quite light for its size. A mingei museum type work, 44cm.tallx28.5cm.wide, in perfect condition.
