Silver Stoneware 'Boat' Form Vessel by Ogawa Machiko
The contrast of stoneware-clay and radiant silver is quite engaging on this boat-shaped vessel by Ogawa Machiko(b.1946). Ogawa, as many know, is one of Japan's most important and award-winning women ceramic artists, recently being awarded at the Musee Tomo's Tea Exhibition that starts this Saturday in Tokyo.This vessel was recently created and has a complex silver glazing pattern within and a gray stoneware facade on the outside. In perfect condition with a signed box, 6.5cm.tallx47x11.5. (If no box is needed a bit less.)
