Kagami Shukai(1941-2009) was one of Japan's finest--some may argue the finest--Ki-Seto potter in the land. He's basically devoted his whole life to mastering this one very difficult style. This Kagami Ki-Seto chawan has a full form and beautiful Ki-Seto rich glazing with copper-green embellishments. A museum piece In perfect condition with a signed box, 9.5cm.tallx11, signed on base. We'll add a copy of Kagami's recent retrospective exhibition held in Kyoto at the Nomura Museum.
