Watanabe Aiko (b.1971) is one of Japan's few women potters making very traditional works; she's made a name for herself with her anagama-unglazed wood-fired pieces and now she's exploring glazed wares, notably choseki-feldspar that is the core of Shino. This set of five plates is very much in a Rosanjin tradition each having a perfect center for food, fine feel, and undulating lines. A good size for appetizers or the likes. Each in perfect condition, 2.3cm.tallx18.3, no box.
