Nezumi Shino Hachi-Bowl by Hayashi Eiji

Here is a classic Nezumi-Shino hachi-serving bowl by veteran Mino potter Hayashi Eiji(b.1931). Hayashi is the grandson of the late great Kato Juemon(1894-1974) and studied with him starting in 1968 after teaching ceramics at Tamagawa University. A tranquil scene of reeds and grasses along with a lone bird is seen within, outside the scalloped edges act as a frame; all in all a very lovely work indeed. In perfect condition with a signed box, 6.5cm.tallx31, stands on three nodes.
