Hagi Vase by Udagawa Hosei
Udagawa Hosei(1946-1993) created some of the finest Hagi works in the late 20th century all within the span of a much too brief life; his works are now to Hagi fans as Furutani's works are to Shigaraki collectors. Here is a beautiful bucket form that shows a creamy white Hagi glazing over the daido clay stoneware body; in perfect condition with a signed box, 24.8cm.tallx15.1x14.2, stamped on base side. A museum piece.
