Sodeisha founder Suzuki Osamu(1926-2001) made this plate for the renowned Todai Temple Zen Priest Shimizu Kosho(1911-1999) to draw on; the rapid brush strokes form a wild chrysanthemum next to bamboo; kanji is on the edge 'thinking after the rain.' A rare museum work in perfect condition, 6cm.tallx32, stamped Suzuki's 'su' on base, signed box by Shimizu.
