Celadon Rinka-Scalloped Bowl by Uraguchi Masayuki
Uraguchi Masayuki (b.1964) is quickly gaining momentum as *the* celadon artist to watch. Having studied under the late Living National Treasure Miura Koheiji (1933-2006), Uraguchi's works not only exhibit a sharp sense of form, his many experiments in glazes have produced new and unique celadon glazes that are authentically Uraguchi's. We may add he's the only celadon apprentice that Miura has had and acknowledged. Miruji, Kokusho, Kokuyosai are names for his original Seiji/celadon and are propelling the art of celadon into new heights. Here is an exhibition rinka-scalloped bowl with a stunning jewel-like glaze the dazzles the senses. In perfect condition with a signed box, 12cm.tallx26x24.9, signed on base.
