This Shigaraki tsubo-jar by Otani Shiro has got it all; 'fire-color' hi-iro in many tones (and even a rare luster feel), ash-patches and drips over a crinkled 'melon-skin,' the full form allows all these characteristics to unfold without competing; a fine harmony. Otani(b.1936) is a Shigaraki Intangible Cultural Property and more about him can be viewed in our archives. In perfect condition with a signed box, 25cm.tallx27, signed on base.
