Udagawa Hosei(1946-1993) created some of the finest Hagi works within the span of a much too brief life; his works are now to Hagi fans as Furutani's works are to Shigaraki collectors, or Kamoda is to the entire art world. Here is a beautiful bucket form that shows a rich white Hagi glazing over the daido clay stoneware body; a museum piece in perfect condition with a signed box, 31.5cm.tallx17x16, signed on base.
