Large Red Ash Jar by Kako Katsumi
Kako Katsumi(b.1965) continues on his creative clay path with new works that once again prove to me he's a rising star. Some of the new works we are going to offer were recently shown in Tokyo. The first is a bulbous red ash incised jar with an chic elegance in design and color. I'm sure if Ninsei saw Kako's work---born with a Kyoto sense--he would also be relieved to know there still are Kyoto-born artists that make innovative, timeless work. In perfect condition with a signed box, 41cm.tallx33, signed on base. Previews of other works gladly sent upon request and all will make their way to the online gallery next week.
