We've offered a few works by Udagawa in the past, yet this is the first chawan. Udagawa Hosei(1946-1993)was a star Hagi potter before his much too early passing. His fans in Japan are many and await any works that come on the market, far and few between. This Udagawa chawan shows his signature thick glaze with crawling, much in a Miwa Oni-Hagi vein. In perfect condition with a signed box, 8.5cm.tallx12.2,stamped on base.
