Set of Five White Iga Plates by Kishimoto Kennin
If you ever watched the Japanese version of Iron Chef, then you might have seen Michiba Rokusaburo. He was one of the original 'cast members' and a legendary chef. He often used these exact same style Kishimoto Kennin(b.1934) white Iga plates with brown and green cross designs. The plates are curved upward, slightly thick and are a joy to use. Each is 4.3-4.6cm.tall and 18.5-18.9cm.wide, signed on base. These sets were designed by Kishimoto and made under his direction at his kiln.
