Silver Glazed Faceted Mizusashi by Ogawa Machiko
When I visited Ogawa a few weeks ago and selected works seen on the gallery, this mizusashi was still a work in progress. Well, it arrived today completed and we are very pleased with the outcome indeed. The all-silver facade is cut and glistens when turned and the inside and lid are all silver as well; a few sides have an overglaze with blue tinges. Overall a rare work from this important ceramic artist. In perfect condition with a signed box, 17.5cm.tall with lidx16. In a low-lit Tea room--or any room with the proper lighting--this mizusashi will shine.
