Renmon Hanaire by Koike Shoko
Koike Shoko(b.1943) is a celebrated ceramic artist of international fame; her works are in important private collections and have been shown in numerous museum exhibitions including last year at Museum of Fine Art, Boston, Japan Society, New York, and the Muse Tomo in Tokyo. This is the first time we have offered a Koike piece and this work dates back about 15-20 years and is called a renmon or wave pattern. The white glaze--almost porcelain in texture--has a marble-like character. It's 32cm.tallx21x13.5; signed box, a museum piece in perfect condition.
