Hagi / Kaneshige / Koyama / Sake / Shuki / Tokkuri-Sake Flask-Vase
Rare Hagi Guinomi by Koyama Fujio
One of the most important figures in 20th century Japanese ceramics was Koyama Fujio (1900-1975); you can read about him on e-yakimono.net in an article I wrote for the Japan Times about a retrospective Koyama exhibition at the Idemitsu Museum (add www. to e-yakimono.net/html/koyama-fujio-jt.html) Koyama worked in many styles, yet rarely are Hagi works seen. This Hagi guinomi is on the large side at 4.1cm.tallx9,4×8,8, stamped on base and was fired at his wood-fired kiln in Gifu prefecture named Hana-no-Ki. In perfect condition with a signed box.
