Two Shigaraki Fluted Jars/Tsubo by Takahashi Yoshiko
How wonderful that Takahashi Yoshiko(b.1988) became a ceramic artist in her family’s Shigaraki tradition. Her father is Rakusai V and of course she grew up with clay all around her entire life. Our gallery is a big fan and here are two recently fired jars with her signature fluted forms and the grand traditional firing characteristics of Shigaraki, rich ‘clay flavor’ and intense hi-iro ‘fire color. Museum works in perfect condition,s igned boxes, the larger one is 39cm.tall and the other is 33.3cm.tall, signed on base. The larger one is 300,000 yen and the other is Sold, delivery included.
