Large Multi-Colored Ash-Glaze Vessel by Kimata Kaoru
Kimata Kaoru(b.1967) studied in Karatsu and there mastered various ash-glazes and then made them into her own ‘blend’ as clearly seen on this multi-colored-engaging vessel. Kimata moved her studio to Kobe in 1995 and also to the countryside. She exhibits throughout Japan–and her chawan are shown at Osaka’s top antique gallery(we have a few here–vases and guinomi too– please contact if interested to see)–as well as in group and solo exhibitions. In perfect condition with a signed box, 17.5cm.tallx38cm.x32cm, signed on base.
